Packing for a toddler

As I found myself scrambling around last minute trying to pack for our trip to South Carolina last week, I decided to make a list of things that are needed when traveling with a toddler. I hope this will help some of you while packing for your next family vacation. 


CLOTHING
Outfits- I pack two outfits per day. You never know when you will need a spare.
PJs- I also pack two sets of these per night. I'd rather be safe than sorry
Bows and headbands for girls
Shoes
Socks
Swimsuits
Underwear, if needed.


DIAPERING, IF APPLICABLE
Diapers- we always pack enough for at least the first three days of our trip
Wipes
Swim diapers
Diaper rash cream
Changing pad


TOILETRIES
Wash cloths
Shampoo/ baby wash
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Hairbrush
Hair accessories- bows, headbands, etc.
Sunscreen
Medicine- I always pack pain reliever since it can be hard to find certain brands.


SLEEPING
Travel bed, if not available at your destination
Sheet
Blanket


FEEDING
Plastic or disposable bibs
Sippy cups
Snacks
Bottled water
Juice
Spoons 
Forks
Extra ziploc bags
Small cooler with milk and cold snacks
Portable highchair


ENTERTAINMENT
Books
Toys
ipad or portable dvd player


MISCELLANEOUS
Camera
Stroller
Highchair and shopping cart cover
Car seat


Ella with her cousin Catherine
Now... to the reason we went to South Carolina! We went to meet my precious niece, Catherine Marie! I am in love.  I know that her and Ella will be the best of friends as they grow up together. I can't wait to squeeze her cheeks again in September!
